Associated General Contractors - Austin Chapter (AGC)

The Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors was founded in 1946 as part of the AGC of America and is dedicated to the principles of Skill, Integrity and Responsibility in the construction industry. The Chapter provides services (safety, advocacy, networking, education, building information, workers comp and health insurance) to commercial construction firms working in the Austin area and throughout Central Texas. Our members are proud to build Austin’s quality of life!

North American Contractor Certification (NACC)

The North American Contractor Certification Program for Architectural Glass and Metal Contractors (NACC) has been created with input and guidance from glazing and construction industry experts. It is intended to provide Certification recognition as a means of creating a baseline for competency, business practices, and adherence to industry-accepted guidelines for glazing contractors participating in the program.

American Institution of Architects – Austin Chapter (AIA)

The third largest chapter of the national professional association, The American Institute of Architects in the state of Texas. AIA Austin serves the professional needs of more than 900 architect and associate members; and over 150 allied professionals working in fields related to architecture, design and construction in the greater Austin area – North from Copperas Cove and Salado, South to Buda and San Marcos and West to Fredericksburg. AIA Austin provides the architecture community with resources and relationships to make a difference through design. We open doors, provide connections, keep our members and the public informed, and demonstrate our commitment to great design as the key ingredient for livable, sustainable places.

National Association of Remodeler Industry – Austin Chapter (NARI)

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is a not-for-profit trade association committed exclusively to serving the professional remodeling industry and to serving as an ally to homeowners. NARI has over 7,000 members nationwide and over 300 in the Austin area. The members of Austin NARI include professional remodeling contractors, product manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, lenders and other professionals.

Austin Association of Facility & Maintenance Engineers (AAFAME)

The primary goal of the Austin Association of Facility and Maintenance Engineers otherwise known as AAFAME (pronounced A-fame) is to promote professionalism for maintenance engineers. Today, more than ever, education is critical to the proper maintenance and operation of modern buildings. Not only is it necessary to keep the equipment functioning properly, it is important to operate them at the highest efficiency possible due to the rising cost of utilities, the need to conserve natural resources, and the requirement to reduce environmental contamination.

American Society of Interior Design (ASID)

The American Society of Interior Designers [ASID] is a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both.

US Green Building Council (USGBC)

Founded in 2003, USGBC Central Texas-Balcones Chapter is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting the use of green building and sustainable development practices to local, regional and state government, educational institutions, those involved in the residential and commercial construction, development and realty sectors, and others who might influence the implementation of these practices. Chapter members include building and associated industry professionals from Austin, San Antonio, Waco, Rio Grande Valley and the surrounding 72 counties.
