At Anchor-Ventana, glass has to do more than look good. It has to do the job, albeit protecting you from fire, thieves, bad weather, sound or high energy bills.
Our manufacturers meet our requirements in many ways. Heat from the sun, for example, is controlled by using special coatings (called Low-E or spectrally selective). Impact resistant glass has multiple layers of glass laminated together with a PVB (polyvinyl butyral) inner-layer. Laminated glass also can be engineered for bullet and blast resistance. Electrically charged inner-layers, ceramic pattern applications and chemical etching all provide a wide range of custom applications, color, graphics and privacy.
